Pakistan Cricket Board is announcing new coaches: Details
Pakistan Cricket Board is following due process after 5 years

Pakistan Cricket Board is set to publicly reveal their new list of coaches by the end of April 2024.

As reported to Press Trust of India by an undisclosed official on April 19, the country had received applications from various reputed coaches alongside Jason Gillispie from Australia and South Africa’s Gary Kirsten.

“Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has made it clear that the long-term appointments of coaches will be done through a due process and all commitments would be met,” the person said.

Mentioning that only those who have registered formally will be invited for interviews, they added, “Even in Kirsten and Gillispie’s case, they were also told to apply through due process by the deadline.”

The last that the board has abided by the book of rules for appointing coaches was in 2019, when cricketer Misbah-ul-Haq was named as both the head coach and chief selector for Pakistan’s national team.

After that, all nominations were either made on temporary basis or were by means of consultancy.

Going on, the same official stated that some interesting suitors are competing for the position of a head coach, but their names can’t be revealed until official results are announced.

Another source said, “The PCB chief doesn’t want names disclosed at any stage, and names would only be revealed once announcements are made.”
